Update Instructions

To apply this update, please follow the steps below:

1. Connect both the robot and the remote controller to Wi-Fi.
2. On the remote controller, tap “Update”.
3. Update the robot first, then update the remote controller.

Updated Overview

This release upgrades AgiBot A3 from V3.1.20 to V3.2.17, introducing new features and experience improvements focused on natural human-robot interaction, motion expressiveness, operational safety, and overall usability.

New features

Comprehensive interaction

Built-in microphone interaction is now officially supported on A3, enabling smooth and reliable communication in moderately noisy environments below 70 dB. A3 can accurately locate the speaker and automatically turn its head and body toward the person, creating a more natural, responsive, and engaging interaction experience.

Compliant safety

Compliant upper-body movements have been introduced to improve safety during human-robot interaction and daily operation, allowing A3 to respond more naturally and safely to physical contact.

LinkCraft Motion Imitation Pro Mode

A3 now supports LinkCraft Motion Imitation Pro Mode, enabling users to create customized dance and performance motions by uploading video or BVH files for motion training. Users can create their own customized performances through LinkCraft, while additional full-body dance motions are available through the AgiBot Skill Store.

Experience improvements

Customized expressions & shoulder-tap interaction

Users can now create customized facial expressions through the LinkSoul platform, providing greater flexibility for personalized and engaging interactions. A new triple shoulder-tap gesture has also been introduced, allowing users to perform several common operations without the remote controller, including:

• Switching between lying down and standing up
• Confirming sliding actions
• Switching between work and rest modes

Optimized shutdown operation

The shutdown process has been enhanced to improve operational safety. A3 can now intelligently detect its current posture and prevent shutdown when the robot is in an unsafe position.

When the robot is in a safe posture, such as lying down or being suspended, briefly press the power button and then press and hold it for 3 seconds to shut down.

A new Safe Shutdown function has also been added. After shutdown, please wait until all robot indicator lights have turned off (approximately 20 seconds) before restarting the robot.

Client-Side improvements

Several client-side features and usability improvements have been introduced, including:

• Cellular network signal display
• Robot hotspot functionality
• Packing reminders to place the battery into storage mode before transportation
• Additional usability and experience optimizations
